Amusements (click for statement)

This ongoing series explores the light and movement of amusement parks, carnivals and faires. Most of the images are hand-held long exposures, playing with the movement of the rides and the lights. These images are made for fun like the places they represent. The photographs are taken with one of two Hoga cameras, one unmodified and one with a shutter which stays open until released. The negatives are scanned and thirty inches square pigment prints are made on an Epson Sylus Photo 9900.
